Experiential Learning with Horses
Experiential learning is based on the premise that we learn best when we are wholly engaged (cognitively, emotionally, and physically), observant, and reflective. Effective experiential learning makes our behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs visible to our selves and others.
Why do we use Horses as learning partners? As herd animals, horses are masters at sensing our body language and emotions. They respond to our behaviors, attitudes, and intention with direct, uncalculated, and authentic feedback. Observation and reflection on this human-equine interaction offers powerful insights leading to rapid growth in personal development, individual and team performance, leadership, and communication.
